Ron and Helene Davis, Lovettsville, Virginia

Helene, who has her Masters in Studio Art and is certified in Special Education, recently retired from a 29+ year career as a high school art teacher but "still needed her art education fix." She had always wanted her own business, but didn't want to "recreate the wheel" and thought she had found the perfect solution in an art-enrichment franchise. But which one?

Meanwhile, Ron was running his own consulting company, Davis Media Consulting, and previously worked as a Senior Director of Online Advertising Systems for America On-Line but was looking for something "more dependable." They had looked at other franchises such but felt, based on much research and "the treatment we got from Young Rembrandts " that Young Rembrandts was the best fit for them. When referencing the other companies they had researched Ron said, "If we weren't getting a good response while they were courting us - that said a lot about what the marriage would be like!"

Katie felt that Young Rembrandts was a logical extension of her experience in enriching the lives of children through the arts. As the founder of a music therapy program, and an entrepreneur at heart, when Katie was referred to Young Rembrandts by a current franchisee she felt "it was meant to be." Katie's husband Ron, an attorney, is also the Executive Director (on a volunteer basis) of a charity he founded in 2005 called Daddy's Spirit Moves me Forward, which works to provide positive educational and recreational experiences for children who have lost their fathers. Young Rembrandts is the perfect opportunity for this philanthropic couple to extend their passion for making a difference. Ron will be managing "the numbers" side of the business, while Katie manages the accounts and the staff.

We've transferred our Northern Colorado franchise to Klarissa Maria

Klarissa's position as a Senior Communications Manager for a global IT corporation left her little time to spend with her two young children, and did not satisfy her passion for the arts, her love of children, and her desire to "give back." For Klarissa, Young Rembrandts was the right opportunity at the right time.

Klarissa has a Master in Business Administration, and completed her training with Young Rembrandts in January of '09.
