Bette Fetter
CEO and Founder
Bette Fetter, Founder and Director of Young Rembrandts, Inc., began her
career as a professional artist with a Bachelor's Degree from Northern
Illinois University. Yet it was her fascination with child development,
especially as it related to the visual arts that led Bette into a field
of virtually untrodden territory. Equipped with the principles of the
Montessori Method, and with a vision of using formal art instruction as
a tool in developing the "whole child" Bette served the needs of many
young children, first around her kitchen table, then as a classroom
instructor, and 1988 as the visionary entrepreneur of Young Rembrandts.
In 2001, after 13 years of building a thriving and solid business model,
and establishing a community-leading enterprise, Young Rembrandts opened
its first franchise.
In late 2008, Bette once again used her entrepreneurial expertise to launch
her second company,
Artoozie;
an on-line retailer that specializes in quality art tools for children that
nurture the "whole" child through art, imagination and creative play.
Bette is considered an early childhood education expert, and will attain
her MBA in 2009. She is a national speaker in her field and will publish
her first book "The Myth of Art" in 2010.
