I had the opportunity to be the on-site monitor today for Young Rembrandts ACE class at Westpark. What a wonderful experience! [The teacher] was so great with the kids, keeping them on task and making sure they all did their own unique drawing. She stayed after with the kids making sure they got picked up okay while I walked a couple back to Rainbow Rising. I am not so sure I was much help, but being there made my day. Thank you so much for being part of the ACE program.

Thank you for the amazing program you have presented to our students. There are lots of stories [that can be shared] with you but I'd like to share this one.....

Mrs. Israel stopped me in the hall today and asked me to look in her classroom. There was one student teaching his whole class how to draw a picture. Apparently he had brought in a very pretty picture he drew of some flowers in a vase that his classmates admired. They asked him how he had done it and he said he would teach them. He set up a little lesson just like the Young Rembrandts teacher. He was showing them the steps to take and shapes to draw just like she does. It was amazing!!! How exciting it is to not only see him applying the drawing skills he's learning, but internalizing and teaching others the procedures! And, for this child of all students to have gained that kind of confidence has got me at a loss for words and Mrs. Israel in proud tears.

The teacher is framing the picture for the student. I am astonished at the quality and content.

I would recommend Young Rembrandts to other students who have difficulties in a classroom however need the interaction with peers and the experience of a classroom setting.
