The Power of Art

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

If you would like to find out more about our programs, start a program in your area, information about current offerings or provide feedback, please complete the online form below. We appreciate your interest and look forward to working with you and your child(ren). Remember: Each week there is a brand NEW lesson that has never been done before at your location! Lessons do not repeat!

Please note the following reminders: Find our Privacy Policy Here.

  • By enrolling you agree to these reminders/terms/conditions which are subject to change without notice.

TUITION/PAYMENT:

  • Tuition is due by the start of the first session. Credit/Debit Card payments are processed in one transaction for the full tuition amount. At this time breaking your tuition into multiple payments is not allowed. CC payments may take up to 3-5 business to show on your statement.
  • Many locations offer a discount for signing up 2 students. At this time our card processing services requires full price payment upfront and then a refund to get the discounted price. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Refunds are issued promptly either by check on the first day of class or by issuing the refund amount back to your card. Again the later may take 3-5 business days to show on your statement.
  • Tuition for parent/volunteer helpers is reimbursed at the end of the session. Failure to assist for the entire session length will result in the forfeiting of the tution. (e.g. You pay upfront like everyone else. If you do not show up to help or do not help when you are there, your tution will not be reimburesed.) Please contact us for more details.
  • Pricing is subject to such factors as: location, fees, number of weeks in a session, and more.

SIGNING UP YOUR STUDENT:

  • Please completely fill out the printed registration form and turn it into the school office along with payment (unless enrolling online). Please PRINT CLEARLY. By turning in a form to enroll or enrolling online you agree to follow the terms and reminders.
  • When paying by credit/debit card use the billing address for the students address or your card will be declined. Simpley send us an email with their correct contact information after you finish and we will update our records. Sorry for any extra work this causes.
  • All personal absences are forfeited, tuition will not be refunded.
  • Class(es) canceled for holidays or by the school will be credited to a future week(s) class not a refund.
  • If classes are scheduled during minimum days they will have an earlier start time (see notes above).
  • Typically (so this may not be for all cases) there is a six paid student minimum to host a class. If this minimum paid student number of six is not met then tuition will be reimbursed and no further classes will be held. You will be notified of this as soon as possible. It is extremely rare that this happens.
  • If applicable on the 4th consecutive session signup you will recieve a discount as stated on the printed flyer. This discount cannot be applied direclty to credit card payments and thus a partial refund will have to be issued. You will have to pay in full if paying by credit card and be reimbursed to recieve the promotial price.
  • If applicable early signups or the first ten signups will recieve a gift as stated on the printed flyer. Gifts are typically bag tags and other school supplies. Young Rembrandts management reserves to right to change gifts as they see fit based on supply. Substitutions will always be of equal or monetary greater value.

PARENT/VOLUNTEER HELPER

  • There is a limit of one parent/volunteer helper per session (typically a session is 6-10 weeks) on a first to signup to be the parent/volunteer helper basis. Parent/volunteers assist the YR instructor with the class by performing various tasks assigned by the instructor.
  • Only larger classes need a parent helper.

BEFORE/DURING/AFTER CLASS

  • Be advised student behavior issues will not be tolerated (see below), they will always be documented and reported. A pattern of misbehavior, as determined by Young Rembrandts staff, will result in loss of tuition & expulsion from attending all future weeks of a session.
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring that their student(s) know the day and time of the class(es), not the school and/or Young Rembrants and/or YR staff. We find this is best done by reminding the student the night before that they have a YR class tomorrow after school. This should also be done in the morning before school. You can always check the flyer on our website or the Classes & Enroll page to double check your dates and times.
  • Parents are also responsible for their student getting home following the class (or wherever you would have them go),  not the school and/or Young Rembrants and/or YR staff. Again the night before the YR class, we recommend you remind the student what they are to do after the class ends. This reminder should be repeated in the morning before school. Child safety is extrememly important to everyone so please make sure that your student(s) knows when the class is and what to do after the class is over. On the enrollment form, please be sure to accurately explain what your student will be doing following the class.
  • Note: students are not just left alone after school, any long delay in picking up your student will result in a fee to cover teacher expenses in staying late. (e.g. You do not come pick up your student and the teacher has to stay with them, you will pay for that teachers time in doing so.) YR management will determine this fee. Usually the teachers hourly rate rounded to the nearest whole hour. Repeated failure to pick up a student will result in loss of tution and expulsion from attending future classes.

LESSONS/CURRICULUM

  • Lessons are provided by our corporate offices, not our local branch. They cannot be altered or done out of order. For any lesson that some may not wish to do for religious reasons or cultural reasons or the like, alternatives can and will be provided. Please inform the YR staff of any concerns in advance as we respect your wishes.
  • Lessons are fresh and new each week. We do not repeat lessons when the new sessions start. We begin all new lessions. Many parents enroll their students all year long.
  • Again we do not repeat lessons.
  • There are 6 years worth of individual lessons to draw. That equals over 300 individual lessons to complete.
  • Images on flyers may or may not be drawn in your students' class.

BEHAVIOR ISSUES

  • Our goal is to provide a safe and fun learning environment. Behavior issues from students stand as road block to that goal. For the benefit of the entire class disruptions to learning cannot be allowed.
  • Be advised student behavior issues will not be tolerated; they will always be documented and reported. A pattern of misbehavior, as determined by Young Rembrandts staff, will result in loss of tuition & expulsion from attending all future weeks of a session and any future sessions.
  • Behaviors issues might include but are not limited to: yelling, screaming, cursing, using racial slurs, using derogatory/threatening/aggressive speech or gestures, fighting, pushing, shoving, slapping, horse-play, running around, talking back to the instructor, etc. Basically most things that would disrupt the class for a negative reason, causing the teacher to stop teaching.
  • Remember our parents are paying for instuction and oversight, not to have our instructor(s) address behavior problems.
  • One behavior issue as determined by Young Rembrandts staffs equals a warning. A letter will be provided to the parent and location (i.e. school, facility) outlining what allegedly took place.
  • Typically two behavior issues from the same student will result in expulsion from the remainder of the session(s) with no reimbursement for tuition. A second letter will be provided to the parent. This will be evaluated on a case by case basis by Young Rembrandts management whom reserve the right to expel the student or allow them to remain with the understanding that no further issues will happen. Should this courtesy be extended and a third incident be reported then automatic expulsion is our only legitimate option.
  • Young Rembrandts reserves the right to handle each matter on a case-by-case basis and one behavior issue as determined by Young Rembrandts staff may result in expulsion from the program.
