WWII Cartooning Class - FOR KIDS
First Division Museum, 10:00 - 11:30 am
Elementary- aged students will love this cartoon-themed workshop taking place in the summer exhibit featuring the WWII cartoons of artist Bill Mauldin. Learning to draw can be lots of fun, especially when we create interesting characters with realistic and funny expressions! They will learn fundamental drawing skills that will allow them to create their own magnificent cartoon drawings. Students will create animal characters with lots of style and personality. We'll learn how to draw expressions and action to tell a story or joke... This delightful program combines Young Rembrandts' innovative step-by-step drawing method with light-hearted subjects that engage kids' sense of humor and vivid imaginations. Art materials are included in the cost of $10 per student, parking free. Register at Cantigny.org or 630.260.8162.
