Creativity has never been limited to artists, poets and musicians.  Brilliant scientists, mathematicians, inventors and engineers are creative, innovative thinkers.  Innovation is a function of visual-spatial thinking and teaching art is a crucial means of developing visual spatial thinking in our children.

Saturday Classes

Children's Drawing classes on Saturday  in St. John's East. Young Rembrandts Art classes will be offered at College of the North Atlantic, Prince Philip Campus.   Click on "View Classes " for description and times.  Registration is ongoing for all classes. 

• Drawing classes for children - ages 3 1/2 to 5
• Drawing and Cartooning classes for Kids - ages 6 - 12.

A child can join at any time as long as their is space in a class, each week is a brand new lesson.

Program Coordinators for Summer Camps!  We are available to be a fun and educational art component for your summer camps and day camps.  We have a wide variety of themed workshops such as Space, Under the Sea, Pirates, Fashion Runway, cartooning, pastels and many others

After-school activities for kids: Young Rembrandts offers drawing lessons and cartoon classes at elementary schools.  Parent councils, principals and teachers, please contact us for information about offering classes at your school.  We require only a small space with tables and chairs and we leave no mess. Spring classes may be quickly and easily set up, your students will learn how to draw in no-time.

Although we're new to this province, Young Rembrandts is an award winning art enrichment program that has given the power of drawing to thousands of young artists across the US.   And now, we're excited to bring that power to the students in our communities!

What do we do?  In each week's new exciting (and kid-tested!) lesson, we use a step by step method that assures every student is a creative success.  As we learn and use technical drawing skills, we discover that all complex objects can be broken down into familiar shapes; then use problem solving skills, innovation, and imagination to put them all together into eye-popping masterpieces! 

Using our unique 20+ year method students will also improve their fine motor skills, patience levels, focus and ability to stay on task.  Best of all, they'll gain a new found confidence in a skill they never knew existed - the ability to say "I can do it!"  And yes, all that learning comes with a big bunch of fun.
