Welcome to Young Rembrandts!
The Power of Drawing
Drawing is the fundamental skill of the visual arts that can - and should - be learned by all children.
Young Rembrandts teaches the drawing skills children need while developing learning skills that give children an academic advantage in the classroom.

The Power of Art
Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.
~Henry Ward Beecher
SWPA is expanding every day with exciting new Young Rembrandts programs at schools, libraries, and community facilities throughout Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.
With over 700 students and 55 participating sites, we are always looking for growth to provide more in your community for your child's artistic enrichment! We are currently taking registrations for our summer schedule and setting up for the fall 2011 school year. Please feel free to contact us to mail or email our summer brochure to you. If you do not have a Young Rembrandts program available in your school, have your PTA chair or Principal contact us to set something up.
Our NEW facility located on Pennsylvania Ave in North Huntingdon allows us to provide opportunities to work with your child in an enhanced monthly, year-round preschool program for your creative child. Call us for summer and/or fall enrollment in this preschool program or enroll in one of our other great art programs as space will be limited. Our facility is also available for private classes and special programs, such as those for scouts.
This summer, we have a large variety of classes and camps. You can enroll in a single camp or sign-up for a camp-combo for a full day of creativity and fun! We also offer day, evening, and Saturday classes to accommodate all schedules! Our courses utilize a multi-media curriculum in a variety of themes. They will take you on an adventure, explore The Masters with pastels, admire nature, and take you to far off lands even beneath the sea. Students will also learn how to add expression and movement in their work! Use the registration form below for all summer classes and camps.
If you are a principal who wants to improve academic achievement, a PTA looking for a great program that provides you with a portion of the proceeds, or a parent looking for a convenient, affordable option for your child to learn more art , please contact us. We will be happy to share the great potential that Young Rembrandts holds for you. Your child will learn to draw and so much more. You will see increased confidence, attention, and focus on detail in all their work.
