Teach With Us
Do you enjoy working with children? Do you love to
draw?
Young Rembrandts is a national award-winning after school
drawing program. Our innovative step-by-step process teaches
children basic drawing techniques. The curriculum encourages
children to express their imaginations while improving motor
skills, patience, focus, and ability to stay on task.
Young Rembrandts is seeking energetic and enthusiastic
candidates living in the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas
who have experience working with children, who have had the
responsibility for motivating groups of children and guiding their
behavior. College level drawing experience is preferred, but not
required. Young Rembrandts will train qualified Instructors in the
Young Rembrandts methodology and teaching technique, and are
provided all lessons, supplies, and materials.
Young Rembrandts offers classes in public and private
schools at the end of the regular school day, as well as in park
districts and preschools. As a Young Rembrandts Instructor, you
must be available to teach a minimum of 2-3 one-hour classes in the
afternoon each week, with preference on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays. Instructors are assigned to schools and
stay with the same school throughout the term.
Additional job requirements:
Your own transportation
Valid Driver's License
Proof of auto insurance
Please note that this is a VERY part-time position,
approximately 2-4 hours per week. If you are looking for a job to
pay your bills, this is not it. If you are ENTHUSIASTIC about art
and LOVE teaching children, this could be a great
fit!
